Yes, vulgar you may say, way too seen, too mainstream. By the way, i know someone who knows someone who does pretty cheap fake barcelona chairs.

And a few (if not all) things by this man: Verner Panton.

    3 sugestions, but i disagree with “gorgeous”. But my reply isn´t just to disagree with your taste, but mostly to say that those chairs by Mies are not vulgar or mainstream. They are classic, and more important then their style is that they are awesomly confortable.

    The main building of Fundação Gulbenkian in Lisboa, have a sort of alike seats like these, and everytime i go there ( and it’s been awhile :( ….) i have to go and lay my bottom on one of them and rest for some time with the beautiful views of the garden that surrounds it.

    About the tulip chairs lol.. well you could buy them all lol.

    Well, *blink* *blink*, the Gulbenkian is my favorite place in Lisbon, and i love everything about it, the buiding, the furnitire, the gardens.

    Até o Ballet Gulbenkian acabar *chuif* durante 2 anos passei lá as melhores noites da minha vida. Agora tenho uma espécie de ressentimento com aquele lugar, pois acabaram com a minha companhia de dança preferida de uma forma muito estupida e abrupta.

    Mas os jardins são visita frequente.

    Com o vulgar eu dizia que hoje em dia não é raro ver as cadeiras do Mies, ainda que muitas delas, cópias. Quanto à Tulip eu sei, há quem as ache feias, ma eu continuo a gostar.
