New trendy twitter victim

I finally created a twitter account and at this precise moment i am Attending a Webinar entitled How to Use Twitter for Marketing & PR, from Hubspot.

Yes, i know all about twitter, and sometimes take a peak at some people twiterings, but never really took interest in creating an account. I find it somewhat distracting. When I’m Working, I just can’t be talking or chating, as I need focus. I have a Jaiku account but never really use it, because most times I think I don’t have anything important to share, or that people might give a damn about it, so I forget to post.

But I find it important to be aware on what people are talking about, especially on my field, webdesign, css, html, webapps, etc.

I follow dozens of blogs trough rss n google reader, mainly about productivity, graphics, webapplications, web tools, design, etc, everything that is related to my work, so I think I should give twitter a try.

I’m currently redesigning my personal portfolio site, and it will be completely in english, because i do get some people asking for my portfolio, os asking for my fees, so maybe creating a twitter account might do some good in public relations and marketing my work.

Alltough I still don’t see myself twittering much on work hours, let’s see how it woks out.
